There is Heaven on Earth. . . Bulgaria.
Bulgaria is a small and for many people, an unknown part of the world. Yet to those of us who know her, Bulgaria is a real-life Garden of Eden. Majestic mountain ranges, lush green fields, ancient forests, fast flowing rivers and deep blue lakes stimulate the senses and are alive with wild life. Let your eyes feast upon the natural beauty of our country, and the salt of the Black Sea soften your skin while the waves wash your worries away.
Bulgarian culture is ancient and well preserved. The oldest gold archaeological finds were discovered here and have been dated to 4,200 BC. The Ancient Thracian civilisation are our ancestors, and their culture continues to have an impact on Bulgarian culture in the twenty first century. Tombs packed with extraordinary treasures of gold and beautiful drawings are found all over Bulgaria.
Bulgarian folklore country music is divine, and its unique ensemble of haunting vocals and instruments found nowhere else in the world will take you on a mystical journey through our history. One of our most famous folk singers recorded a song which was sent to space on board the Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 probes in 1977.
A network of over 6,000 caves will take you deep into the womb of our country and show you the mystical underworld. Deep inside the caves you will find 10,000 year old cave paintings telling the story of the pre-historic people who inhabited our land before us. Today the main religion of Bulgaria is Christianity, however many rituals and traditions from the ancient days have been preserved and are still practiced today.
Finding it hard to believe all of this lies in the country of Bulgaria? Perhaps you have visited already but did not discover the rich cultural heritage of our land?
Bulgaria has spent many centuries swept up in the Empires of other nations. The Ottoman Empire ruled for five centuries and years of instability and war followed. The Republic of Bulgaria was created in 1989, with the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the Bulgarian people awoke to a brand-new world and are still catching up with it!
Allow us to take you by the hand and show you the real Bulgaria, listen whilst we tell you our story and look on with amazement as we show you it’s beauty. Along the journey we hope you will become as enchanted with our country as we are.
Our tours are curated with a heartfelt love for Bulgaria, which we aim to share with each guest. We want you to have the best time you can possibly have, experience authentic travel, enjoy exotic and adventurous expeditions and marvel at the cultural and historic sights. We want you to go home and tell your friends and family, “There is heaven on earth! It is Bulgaria!”

Pressure from the Khazars led to the disintegration of Great Bulgaria in the second half of the 7th century. One of the Kubrat’s successors, Asparukh, migrated with some of the Bulgar tribes to the area around the Danube delta, and subsequently conquered Scythia Minor and Moesia Inferior from the Byzantine Empire, expanding his new kingdom further into the Balkan Peninsula.
